Biography

Basem Al-Omari had many years of working as a staff nurse, senior staff nurse, charge nurse, ward manager, bed and site manager, and modern matron on specialist of trauma, orthopaedic, ITU, surgical, and spinal injuries. He is currently working as a senior lecturer of health and life sciences at Northumbria University, UK. He is fellow in the UK higher education academy and a registered nurse teacher with the UK nursing and midwifery council. He has BSc (Hons) in professional orthopaedic nursing, MSc in evidence based healthcare from the University of Oxford, and is currently completing a PhD in primary care sciences. He had published articles in different kind of journals focussing on the use of conjoint analysis for osteoarthritis treatment and patients’ preferences. He attended national and international conferences and taught evidence based practice in the UK and internationally.
